Door of Hope Press Projects
I write to preserve stories that inspire strength, awaken faith, and remind us that light shines even in the darkest times. With the books I’ve worked on with Door of Hope Press, I’ve had the privilege of editing and sharing true accounts of men who endured persecution with courage and unshakable faith.
The Fugitive
This powerful true story follows Pastor Ladin Popov, arrested by the Communist Bulgarian Secret Police in 1948, only days after his brother Haralan was taken. After enduring a notorious show trial of 15 pastors, Ladin was imprisoned for five years for his faith. Once released, he lived as a fugitive, harassed for 15 years by the secret police. His journey of endurance and eventual escape into Sweden—made possible through his brother’s children—is a testament to perseverance and God’s provision.
Tortured for His Faith
The unforgettable account of Pastor Haralan Popov’s Christian courage and miraculous survival during 13 years of torture in Communist prisons. His story begins with his disappearance into the shadows of Communist oppression and ends with his emergence as a spiritual giant. This book continues to inspire countless readers with its message of faith under fire.
My Heart Behind the Work
Editing these projects was more than a task—it was a calling. I wanted to help preserve these powerful testimonies so they could continue to encourage and strengthen believers worldwide. These books reflect the reality of suffering and the triumph of unwavering faith.
