Jeana Kendrick Books

Stories can do more than entertain—they can awaken courage, renew faith, and remind us of light in the darkest times. Through suspense-filled novels and true accounts of faith, I write to keep readers turning the pages while offering hope that endures.

Suspense Novels

The Last Bridge Across Mostar

American Katrina Winslow is accused of spying in Bosnia in 1992 as she risks her life to protect war orphans. She joins forces with Captain Lucien Brezac in a high stakes battle to save the children and the town of Mostar from Serbian aggression.

BookLife Prize Review: The Last Bridge Across Mostar

Kendrick presents an ambitious plot that follows Katrina Winslow, an American caught in war-torn Bosnia during the 1990s. After a brutal raid claims the lives of both the children’s caretakers and her fellow Americans, Katrina struggles to protect a group of refugee orphans while facing accusations of being a spy. Amidst chaos, she must decide who she can trust, all while transforming herself from carefree to purposeful.
Kendrick adds depth and context through flashbacks, skillfully weaving in historical detail that grounds the story. The novel strikes a strong balance between historical perspective and character-driven moments, giving readers both a glimpse into Bosnia’s turbulent past and the chance to connect with a cast of engaging, believable characters.
Katrina’s inner reflections are intuitive and moving, illuminating larger themes of hatred, discrimination, and resilience. As her understanding of the war deepens, her evolving relationship with Captain Lucien Brezac mirrors her growth. Their shared mission pulls readers in, uniting suspense, history, and humanity in a powerful story long after the final page.

The Paris Conspiracy

CIA agent Gayle Reagan uncovers alleged pension fund theft in Paris and finds herself dangerously close to a terrorist plot. Torn between an ex-fiancé who left, a CIA handler with secrets, and a CEO with hidden motives, Gayle must choose her allies carefully. Together with Matt Carey, who is also under siege, she unravels a threat that could destroy three major cities.

St. Abient Run

Journalist Susan Pardue’s investigation becomes dangerous when her boss’s cousin vanishes. What begins as a search becomes a rescue mission across Europe, where she faces a manipulative financier, assassins, and terrorists in a deadly race against time.

Nonfiction

Memoirs of a Bible Smuggler

This true story follows a young Texas couple who smuggled thousands of Bibles behind the Iron Curtain during the Cold War. A gripping account of faith in action, it reveals the courage it took to carry light into one of history’s darkest eras.

My Heart Behind the Stories

I want to write stories that keep readers turning the pages. I will strive to be transparent about the truths and shadows in this world and hope to reflect the light of Christ, calling us to Him.
One of my favorite scriptures is: “I had fainted unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” (Psalm 27:13)

Other Writings

My short stories appear in Fall From Innocence (Page One Publications), Suddenly II, and Suddenly IV (Martin House), and my articles have been featured in Door of Hope Magazine and other publications.
